Yosef Kaplan

1944–

Born in Buenos Aires, Yosef Kaplan is a professor of Jewish history at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His area of specialization is the medieval and early modern age, with emphasis on Spain and Portugal and the Sephardic Diaspora. Kaplan is a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
