Esther Dischereit

b. 1952

Born in Heppenheim, Germany, Esther Dischereit is a poet, novelist, essayist, stage and radio dramatist, and teacher. The founder of the WordMusic Group, she has lectured in the United States and was writer in residence at Deutsches Haus at New York University in 2004. Dischereit is the recipient of a variety of academic fellowships from German research institutions, including the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European and Jewish Studies.
