Konstanty Gebert

b. 1953

Polish-born Konstanty Gebert (also known as Dawid Warszaweki) is a writer, journalist, lecturer, publisher, and political activist. In the 1970s, he was an organizer of the Jewish Flying University, and later was active in Solidarity. Gebert was also a co-founder of the Polish Council of Christian and Jews. In 1997 he founded the Jewish intellectual monthly Midrasz. Gebert lives in Warsaw.
