Born in New York, Helène Aylon was an American ecofeminist artist whose works address biological, ecological, and theological concerns, including the omission of women’s roles in Judaism. The recipient of two awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, Aylon exhibited her artwork across the United States and was writing a memoir.
