Abigail of London

Abigail, d. ca. 1199

Abigail of London was a moneylender and the matriarch of a wealthy London Jewish family. Widowed from her husband Jacob in 1175, Abigail had at least one son, named Abraham, and one daughter. Her family was active in lending money until the expulsion of Jews from England in 1290.
