Arnold E. Franklin
Arnold Franklin is associate professor of history at Queens College, the City University of New York, where he also serves as the director of the Program in Jewish Studies and of the Center for Jewish Studies. His research focuses on the social, cultural, and religious history of Jews in the medieval Islamic world. In addition to a number of scholarly articles, he is the author of This Noble House: Jewish Descendants of King David in the Islamic East (2013) and coeditor of Jews, Christians and Muslims in Medieval and Early Modern Times (2015). He is the editor of The Posen Library of Jewish Culture and Civilization, Volume 3: Encountering Christianity and Islam, 600–1200.
