The Klezmatics

est. 1986

Formed in New York’s East Village in 1986, the American group The Klezmatics were at the forefront of a revival of klezmer music. They have since released thirteen albums, won numerous awards (including the only Grammy awarded to a klezmer band), and been featured in various prominent films, television shows, plays, and other projects. They are based in Brooklyn and perform across the world.
