Lipót Burkos

Nothing is known about Lipót Burkos beyond what can be gleaned from the classified ad he submitted to the Yiddish-language journal Algemeyne yidishe tsaytung, which was published on April 13, 1915. Burkos grew up in the Hungarian town of Bártfa (now Bardejov, Slovakia), which was home to Sandz (Halberstam) Hasidim. He appears to have been a merchant.
