Yitzhak Rabin

1922–1995

Yitzhak Rabin served as prime minister of Israel from 1974 to 1977 and again from 1992 until his assassination in 1995. Rabin was born in Jerusalem and grew up in Tel Aviv. Chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Rabin commanded the Israeli forces during the Six-Day War in 1967. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994.
