The photographs of American photographer Lauren Greenfield, born in Los Angeles, have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Time, Vanity Fair, People, National Geographic, and the New Yorker. She was named by American Photo as one of the twenty-five most influential photographers working today (2003). Greenfield is especially known for chronicling youth culture. She is also the director of several award-winning documentary films, including THIN (2006).
