Marilyn Sachs

1927–2016

Children’s author Marilyn Sachs grew up in New York City and lives in San Francisco. A children’s librarian, she wrote more than thirty realistic fiction books for young readers, including stories about the Holocaust. Sachs’s Call Me Ruth received the Association of Jewish Libraries Award in 1983.
