Greek Inscription on Mosaic from Apamea, Syria
In the time of Nehemiah [Nemias] the hazzan (who was) also the deacon, the entrance(?) of the shrine was paved with mosaic. Year 703, Dystros 9 [March 9, 392—Ed.]. [ . . . ] on, having made a vow, made (this) with his spouse(?) and children.
