Sextus Aurelius Victor was a Roman historian about whom little is known. He held positions of power under the emperor Julian, including governor and prefect. Four books have been attributed to him, though his authorship is only definitively linked to De Caesaribus (On the Caesars), which covers the history of the Roman emperors from Octavian (30 BCE) to Constantius II (360 CE).
