Rebekah’s Dying Wishes

The story of Rebekah, mother of Jacob and Esau, is found in Genesis 24–27. While the Torah narrates her husband Isaac’s death in Genesis 35:29, the Bible never recounts Rebekah’s death. The book of Jubilees fills in this missing piece of Rebekah’s story and explains that she foresaw her own death and made her dying wishes known to her husband and sons. She is most concerned with securing commitments from both her sons to keep their peace after her death.
