An Early Medieval Version of the Kaddish
Magnified and sanctified be His great name
in the world that He created according to His will.
May He establish His kingdom
[and may deliverance sprout, and may His Messiah approach, and may He deliver His people]
in your lifetime and in your days
and in the lifetime of the whole household of Israel
speedily and soon.
And say, Amen.
[Congregational response:]
May His great name be blessed for ever and ever.
Praised, glorified, exalted,
raised up, distinguished, uplifted, and lauded
be the name of the Holy One, blessed be He
above and beyond all blessing, song, praise, and consolation
that are uttered in this world.
And say, Amen.
