Isaac

10th Century

Little is known about the author, named Isaac, of the text called the Old Questions (She’elot ‘atikot), a series of queries about parts of the Bible. Some attempts to identify him have connected him to an obscure Spanish figure named Isaac ha-Mahbil (“the prattler”), whom Abraham Ibn Ezra criticizes in his commentaries.
