Isaac Bekhor Amarachi

In Salonika in 1845–1847, Isaac Bekhor Amarachi operated a printing press that produced Hebrew and Ladino books. Among them were parts of the Zohar (1845) and a Ladino translation of Pinḥas Horowitz’s Sefer ha-berit (1847). Amarachi also translated a Hebrew biography of Moses Montefiore into Ladino.
