Nadine Gordimer

South African writer and 1991 Nobel Laureate, Nadine Gordimer is the author of novels, short story collections, and works of nonfi ction that chronicle her homeland, its years of apartheid government, and the years after apartheid. Vice president of International PEN, Gordimer has received dozens of literary honors, including the Booker Prize, the Nelly Sachs Prize, and the title Commandeur de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France.
