Haviva Pedaya

b. 1965

Born in Jerusalem, Haviva Pedaya is a poet and professor at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where she specializes in Jewish mysticism and history. Pedaya also studied theater and serves as musical director of the Yona Ensemble for Jewish Music of the East. She is a recipient of the President’s Prize for Literature.
