Amram Dare

3rd Century–4th Century
Amram Dare (Amram the Elder) was a Samaritan priest and the first known Samaritan liturgical poet. His poems, written in Aramaic, are still included in the Samaritan liturgy. Amram continued his legacy of liturgical composition through his son Markah and his grandson Naneh.
