The Palestinian Talmud on Healing Objects
One may go out with a locust egg—it is good for the ear. And [one may go out] with a fox’s tooth—it is good for sleep. And [one may go out] with the nail of one who has been hanged—it is good against a ‘khbyt’ [shivering fit (?)].
[Hebrew] There is a tanna who teaches the opposite. R. Ḥananiah, [however, teaches] in the name of R. Yoḥanan, in line with the Mishnah. R. Samuel and R. Abahu [said] in the name of R. Yoḥanan: Everything that heals does not belong to [the prohibited category of] the “way of the Amorites.”
