Exodus Rabbah, a midrash on Exodus compiled between the tenth and twelfth centuries, combines the exegetical form of running commentary (sections 1–14 are on Exodus 1–11) with the homiletical form (sections 15–52 are on opening verses of the lectionary units). Because the book of Exodus deals with the revelation of the Torah, Exodus Rabbah has many homilies on the subject of Torah.
