Sebeos

7th Century
Sebeos is the name given to the otherwise unknown author of a seventh-century history of Armenia. In his history, Sebeos appears to be describing events that happened during his lifetime or only slightly before. His biblical references and mentions of events relevant to the Christian community suggest that he was a member of the clergy.
